Chief: More importantly, a lawyer from Indiana has projected the Illini into the tournament. While I am not always right, I am never in doubt!

Smith is gone for now. I suspect that he may be gone forever. Wait and see what the J-board does with it after the courts are through.

Drinking and driving can not be tolerated by any students including athletes. By driving drunk, everyone is put in danger including our loved ones.

I was recently at a funeral of Travis Smith. Greg Oden and Larry Bird were also present. Seat belts save lives and reduce injury. When will folks learn. Travis would have survived had he worn his seatbelt. Brian Carwell may not have been so seriously injured if he had been belted, but in his case with a side impact it is harder to tell.

The J. Smith vehicle is a great argument for side airbags. If you are driving a vehicle without side air bags, get one!

Thats all for now. Check out the funniest legal blog of all time at:

Iowa loss hurts chance of Illini getting an invite. So does the results of what has happened in the ACC. Nevertheless, nationally, Illinois is the team the nation loves to hate. DUI's, thefts (football team) and academic question marks all contribute to the bullseye on Illinois back.

Illinois still makes the tournament because the rest of the country wants to hear B. Webber wine some more...

Have fun in Europe Ron

I read recently that Illinois basketball has the best academic track record in the Big 10. Not sure where I saw this, but it makes sense, because Weber is always pushing his guys to graduate and stay for 5 years if necessary. Some of the redshirt players have even received their masters degrees in their final playing years. The questionable ethics in the Big 10 seem to be Indiana's basketball program, and Michigan's basketball program.
