Final Four Picks

Well, I don't want to dwell on this, but another losing year based on my final four picks not being that accurate (I had Georgetown and Florida correct, but missed with Kansas and Texas A&M). The Kansas loss really hurt my bracket, as did the A&M loss and Tennessee folding in the second half of their final game. Oh, well.

I have 3 of the final four still in play.

Illini may bet Ty, but it will be an uphill battle since he is more of a west coast kid.

Doc says Illinois will be decent every 2 or 3 years under the weber system.

Tiz may need to redshirt next year. Has crazy skills, but he looks weak

Hey, give us some info on Juice! I heard Coach Zook restricted him from the media. Is he going to live up to the hype this year?

Did you notice a new poster on legal pub? Wierd picture. Wonder if it is a relative of Coach Webber?

Hey Mister, maybe we should get Gunther's take on the final 4 and recruiting. He is obviously a big boost to your program. Here's what his "verbal abuse" victim said in the paper:

Warren Carter had no trouble putting himself in Ron Guenther's shoes."I love the Mavericks," the Dallas native said. "Whenever I watch them, I want them to win with all my heart."But if a player makes a mistake, I have a right to say something like that."

Carter was referring to Guenther, Illinois' athletic director, having called out, "Warren—you idiot" during a press-row outburst during the Illini's loss to Virginia Tech.

With an A.D. like that helping recruiting who needs enemies.

Iron Mike (go Pitt!)

Yes, I think Warren Carter will be OK, as will his little brother, who at least has eligibility left.
